In short
Stay at this guesthouse about 17.5 km from Piața Unirii, in a quiet spot outside the city. The property has non-smoking rooms, free Wi-Fi and internet access, and free car parking on site. You can use the shared kitchen and washing machine, and there is a garden and a terrace to sit in. Pets are allowed, so you can bring your dog or cat. There is no star rating, so expect simple, practical accommodation rather than hotel-style services. With six photos to look at, you can get a sense of the rooms and outdoor space before booking. It suits travellers with a car who want a base away from the centre and easy parking.

Location
Casa Dana sits 17 km out from Timișoara, in Timiș. This is out on the county plain. A car is close to essential, and the centre of Timișoara is a drive rather than a ride.
The quarter around it is covered on the Recaș page, which sets out what it costs, how you get in and out, and what is against it.
The facilities, in detail
The supplier record lists 11 facilities. Parking appears in the listing, which matters inside the ring where metered space is short. There is a kitchen or a fridge in the record, so a long stay need not eat out every night. Pets appear in the facility list.
Facility lists in this catalogue are supplied by the property and are not checked by us. Anything that decides your booking — a lift, a cot, parking, a late arrival — is worth confirming directly before you pay.
What the property offers
The supplier record lists 11 facilities. Grouped, they read like this; the wording is the catalogue's, not ours.
For cooking and eating in: kitchen.
For working and staying connected: free wifi, internet access, wifi.
Arriving and getting around: free car parking, parking.
Outdoors and wellness: garden, terrace.
In the room: non smoking rooms.
Also listed: pets allowed, washing machine.
Who it suits
A kitchen on the record makes it a sensible base for a week or more, or for anyone who would rather shop at the market than eat out every night.
Parking is on the record, which matters here: the centre is a paid-parking zone and most apartments in the old quarters have none.
A garden or a balcony is listed, worth having in the hot Banat summer.
About Recaș, in brief
Recaș is not Timișoara. It is a wine village in Timiș county, 25 kilometres east of the city, and almost every bed here exists for wine tourism. If you are coming to Timișoara for its squares, its cafés, its theatres or its nightlife, you do not want to sleep in Recaș. The round trip is an hour by car, much longer by bus, and there is no evening life in the village itself. The people who should stay here are the ones who have come for the wine, or who want to be close to the vineyards for a day or two and are willing to trade the city for the countryside.
Recaș is 25 kilometres east of Timișoara. By car, on the DN6 or the A1, it takes about 30 minutes outside rush hour. In rush hour, which in Timișoara means roughly 7.30–9.00 and 16.30–18.30 on weekdays, it can take 45 minutes or more, especially if you are coming from the city centre. The road is busy with trucks and, in harvest, with agricultural vehicles. If you are driving, this is the easiest option by far, and it is the only option that gives you any flexibility once you are here.
The full guide to the quarter, with what it costs and what is against it, is on the Recaș page.
Things to know, from the quarter guide:
Good to know before you book
Cobbles are the usual surprise in the centre: wheeled cases rattle and heels suffer. Most museums close on Monday. Terraces take cards; the markets and the bakeries prefer cash.
Coming in by tram is straightforward, but buy the ticket in the app or at the kiosk before you board — you cannot pay the driver.
Where our data comes from
This page is built from the booking catalogue, not from a visit. The name, the star rating, the address, the coordinates and the facility list are the supplier's own record for hotel 21743837; the distances are measured from those coordinates to Piața Unirii. Nobody pays to appear here and there is no commission ranking.
What we have written ourselves — the quarters, the guides, the things to do — is on the rest of the site, and it is written from the ground. This page is a catalogue entry, and says so.
